Abstract:  This rule will update a document incorporated by reference and incorporate by reference a new document.  Incorporation by reference makes a widely available technical document part of our regulations.  The updated reference, API RP 14F, is the fourth edition of the American Petroleum Institute's (API) "Recommended Practice for Design and Installation of Electrical Systems for Fixed and Floating Offshore Petroleum Facilities for Unclassified and Class 1, Division 1, and Division 2 Locations.  The new document, API RP 14 FZ, is titled "Recommended Practice for Design and Installation of Electrical Systems for Fixed and Floating Offshore Petroleum Facilities for Unclassified and Unclassified and Class 1, Zone 0, Zone 1 and Zone 2 Locations.
